Pursuing my own art always took backseat to dinner, time with the family, household duties, extracurricular events, lesson plans and so on. When the lay off happened I started praying about what was in my future. I have always had great ideas of how to expand on my art I did do, and now I had the time. I continued to look for a teaching job, dream about expanding the type of art I offered and pray for guidance. I had no idea about a "real" job, but felt a peace about pursuing my art.
While on a family mission trip to the "cornfields" of Illinois I brainstormed names, places to sell, and lots of other "stuff". I made lots of brainstorming webs/maps, took lots of notes and began designing new pieces of art. I created a new form of art in 2009, that I call Hide and Seek Art, after teaching a lesson on famous artist Joan Miro. Take a look at the photos to see what it is all about!
